Highly Sensitive Person Therapy.

Support for

emotional intensity, anxiety and overwhelm

Highly sensitive people process emotions, information and relationships deeply.

Many experience anxiety, mental overload and emotional fatigue.

I am Simona D’Isanto, a therapist specialized in working with highly sensitive people. I work online and in Paris.

What is high sensitivity

The term high sensitivity, introduced for the first time from the psychologist E. Aron,

is used to describe a natural trait, known as being a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP).

In this case, it reflects a deeper way of processing emotions, information and relationships.

The goal is not to change this sensitivity, but to learn how to live with it in a more stable and regulated way.

It is also often important to support the nervous system and process past experiences, as highly sensitive people tend to be more deeply affected by what they go through.

On the other hand, some people experience strong emotional reactions in specific situations that are not related to being a Highly Sensitive Person.

This type of emotional reactivity is often linked to unresolved experiences or past emotional wounds.

In this case, the work focuses on calming the nervous system and helping the person process and integrate what is still active in their experience.

You can also explore how high sensitivity can become a strength in daily life.

High sensitivity and anxiety

Many highly sensitive people experience anxiety related to:

  • constant anticipation

  • information overload

  • relational pressure

  • difficulty disconnecting

The nervous system often remains in a state of alert.

Therapeutic work helps regulate this activation.

High sensitivity at work

In professional environments, high sensitivity can lead to:

  • faster exhaustion

  • feeling different from others

  • difficulty with certain relational dynamics

At the same time, it can become a strength when understood and structured.

How I work

Sessions last 50 minutes. They are available online or in Paris.

My approach is person-centered, with a focus on the nervous system, emotions and personal history.

I use different approaches depending on the person’s needs:

cabinet de psychotherapie pour hypersensible
  • Person-Centered Therapy (ACP)

  • EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques)

  • NLP (Neuro-Linguistique Program )

  • IEMT (Integrated Eye Movement Therapy)

  • IET (EFT, PNL et hypnose ericksonienne)

  • sophrology

  • coaching

The work is confidential, structured and respectful.

Intensive program for highly sensitive professionals

Some highly sensitive people work in demanding environments or hold positions of responsibility, whether in corporate settings or as entrepreneurs.

They often have to manage:

  • high mental pressure

  • important decisions

  • complex relationships

  • a strong level of self-demand

In these contexts, sensitivity can become difficult to regulate without a structured form of support.

I offer a premium one-to-one intensive program, Versione 2.1, designed for those who want to work in depth within a more consistent and supportive framework.

This program helps you to:

  • stabilize your nervous system

  • reduce mental and emotional overload

  • gain more clarity in your decisions

  • reconnect with a more solid internal foundation

Who this is for

This work is for adults who:

  • feel emotionally overwhelmed

  • experience persistent anxiety

  • struggle with boundaries

  • tend to overthink

  • feel out of place

Why work with a therapist who understands high sensitivity

Working with someone who understands high sensitivity helps to:

  • normalize certain reactions

  • reduce anxiety

  • regulate emotional overload

  • build more internal stability

À Paris, il existe différents types d’accompagnement, mais tous ne prennent pas en compte cette double dimension.

FQA

Do highly sensitive people need therapy?

Not necessarily. High sensitivity as a trait does not require therapy.

Some people live well with their sensitivity and develop their own ways to regulate themselves.

Support becomes useful when emotional intensity starts to feel overwhelming, when anxiety develops, or when past experiences continue to affect the present.

The goal is not to change sensitivity, but to create more stability in how it is lived.

What type of therapy is best for highly sensitive people?

There is no single approach.

Some approaches focus more on understanding, others on the body, emotions or personal history.

As highlighted by Elaine N. Aron, humanistic approaches such as Person-Centered Therapy are particularly well suited, as they respect depth, pace and subjective experience.

In my work, this approach is the foundation.

Other tools such as EFT, NLP, IEMT, IET or sophrology can be integrated depending on the person and the moment.

They are not applied in a fixed or standardized way.

Can I work with you, Simona D'Isanto, if I do not live in Paris?

Yes. Sessions are available online.

Some people work with me from Paris, others from different countries.

What matters is the quality of the work and the consistency over time. ( and of course also a good connection!)

Sessions are available in English, French and Italian.

How long does the process take?

It depends on the person, the situation and the goals.

Some people come for a few sessions during a specific period.

Others choose a deeper process, especially when emotional patterns have been present for a long time.

There is no fixed duration. The work adapts to each person.

Can high sensitivity become a strength?

Yes, when it is understood and stabilized.

Sensitivity can support depth of thinking, emotional awareness, creativity and relational understanding.

But this often requires a first phase of regulation and integration.
